Club Requirements for 2009 State Qualifier

Requirements that all clubs must complete during the current year, 2008, in order to submit a roster for the 2009 State Qualifier.

As stated in the minutes from the 2008 President’s Conference;

The IBFN is about community, kids, conservation, competition, and comraderie. In line with this, the changes that we made relate to eligibility. To qualify in 2009 and submit a roster for a 6-man team, in the year prior (2008) your club must assist in the sale of IBFN raffle tickets and you must do one of the following:

1. An approved youth project involving the club (i.e. CastingKids, Jr. Bassmaster)
2. An approved conservation project involving the club (i.e. Fisheries, Habitat)

To do a Conservation Project and you are not sure what to do, contact Milt Waltermire. Let him know what county you are in. He will help you get in touch with the right people. Milt will work with you and help you set up a meeting to review the project lists that each county has.

Likewise, with a youth event contact Jim McCune. Whether it’s Casting Kids or sponsorship of a Jr. Bassmaster club work through Jim.

These are things you should be doing anyhow with Youth and Conservation so contact either Milt or Jim and let them know what you’re doing.
